To start off the project, I researched example projects that used similar software in their creation which in this case would be TouchDesigner and Python. I came across a project by Lake Heckaman where he uses real-time weather API to create visuals that change alongside the API.

Being inspired by Lake Heckaman's project, I began looking for different kinds of APIs that I could implement using Python and came across FlightRadar API that utilises the FlightRadar website to extract information about all the flights around the world.

Having found the perfect API to work with, I started implementing the API into TouchDesigner and starting experimenting with it using the documentation of the API and understanding what the objects do. In result, I created an extension in TouchDesigner where I can filter flights based on my location and the set radius.

This week I began the creative side of the project by combining Bitwig Studio and TouchDesigner to sonify and visualise the filtered data.
